Disco Kitten Illuminating Peel-Off Mask

I actually bought this mask by accident to be perfectly honest! I’ve been trying to track down a tub of Space Kitten for eons, but for some reason, it’s constantly out of stock at my local beauty store. On my last visit a couple weeks ago I mistakenly thought I had lucked out. The display had been scrambled so this mask was in the slot for Space Kitten, plus the box is black, so excited little ol‘ me didn’t notice I had bought a completely different mask.

How did it perform?

I was disappointed when I discovered I had grabbed the wrong mask, but in the end, I was glad Disco Kitten made its way home with me 🙂

From the brand:  Disco Kitten is a gentle diamond and pearl cream-based, peel-off mask that changes from white to a brilliant chrome when applied to skin. Gently peel off for a visibly tightened, radiant, and youthful complexion.

Pearl Powder gently exfoliates skin to brighten the complexion, while Diamond Powder boosts elasticity and removes impurities to illuminate lackluster skin. Rice Bran Extract delivers vitamins that moisturize and improve skin’s texture, while the superfood Oat works as an antioxidant to keep skin healthy and strong. To take this mask another level higher, a White complex of Lily, Jasmine, Orange Flower, Elder Flower, and Magnolia replenishes the skin with rich vitamin content so skin is noticeably softer and tone is evener. 

Disco Kitten is extremely similar to another I Dew Care face mask called Sugar Kitten which I reviewed here. If you read the two mask’s descriptions they are practically identical, just worded in slightly different ways. I wouldn’t recommend buying both masks unless you’re collecting different fun chrome finishes. This mask was on the uncomfortable side during removal. It felt a bit like I had used a blackhead removal mask on my entire face. They say beauty is pain right? This would be great for dry skin during the winter months to help bust flakes and prep your skin for moisturizers.

Is Disco Kitten worth the price tag?

This left my skin feeling softer but I don’t agree with its claim of exfoliating skin. I don’t see how a peel-off mask could exfoliate in any way?

At $23.00, this has a larger price tag than I think it deserves, but I will continue to work my way through the tub. I haven’t used it regularly enough to attribute any skin changes to this product alone. As peel-off masks go, it gets a thumbs up from me!
