Hello Lovelies! Today’s theme is use a topper that’s not glitter, this had me stumped for a while, but then I went, “Oh duh, I can use a crackle coat”.I’ve tried to make designs with crackle coats before, and it’s never worked, so I went […]

Hello Lovelies!Today’s theme is to re-create an old manicure of your own, I decided to re-do the first nail art I posted on this blog. You can see the original post here, I had done some hot chocolate nail art for a 365 challenge I was […]
I have another swatch from the depths of my picture files from back when I still had long nails! This is Starrily Poisoned Apple, it’s a holographic deep raspberry pink, in the shade you can see little gold flecks, but they’re drowned out by the holo in direct light.
As you can see, above is in direct sunlight and below is in the shade. Usually I have a preference between how a polish looks in the sun vs. the shade, but I think this is gorgeous both ways!
This is two coats with topcoat.
Thanks for the visit!
Hello Lovelies! Today’s theme is complement and contrast! I was inspired by these nails by Flight Of Whimsy, and since the nail art pops against the glittery background I thought it fitted nicely with this theme. I got a kick out of the name of […]
Hello Lovelies! Today’s theme is decals! I’ve never made decals before so there was a bit of trial and error before I got something I was happy with, for some reason I couldn’t get the decals to peel off when I did them on a […]
I’ve been wanting to try out L.A Colors Color Craze Hottie, and today’s theme was “white base”, so I painted this skittle mani!
Hottie is looks more coral toned irl than here, for some reason it would only show up nemo orange in my pics.
I started off with two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then layered EN-VY Funny Bunny over the top, it’s a sheer milky white shimmer polish that I like to use to soften looks like this.
I used my striping brush to add all the black detailing with Sinful Colors Black On Black, then went in again and filled some of it in with Hottie, and added some striping as well. I topcoated it with Wet n Wild Wild Shine Clear Nail Protector.
My last ditch effort to get accurate colors was to try holding this flower, it worked a bit, but it’s still not the right pinky coral that this polish is irl.
Thanks for the visit!
Today’s theme is rainbows, I wanted to go with something besides the obvious, so I did a subtle rainbow design by painting a rainbow of flowers across my nails! These were all inspired by real flowers, from left to right starting with my thumb, Poppies, Gerbera Daises, Sunflowers, Green Hellebore, and a blue Morning Glory.
I started off with three coats of Revlon Top Speed Cloud, the main color for the poppies was Revlon Parfumerie Bordeaux, Kleancolor Boogie Nights for the daises, Sunflowers are Essence Colour & Go Little Miss Sunrise, Hellebore was a mixture of Color Club Twiggie and La Petite Mint-Sieur, and finally the Morning Glory was done with Color Club Chelsea Girl and Wet n Wild Megalast Violet Attack. I used acrylic paint for a lot of the centers of the flowers and for highlighting.
