Maple Holistics Silk18 Conditioner Review

Maple Holistics Silk18 Conditioner Review

Hey Y’all!

My wedding is slated for this September and I’m on a quest to re-invigorate my hair in time for the big day. Step one of this hair quest is stepping up my haircare routine. Maple Holistics reached out and offered to let me test out their Silk18 Conditioner.

Amazing Vanilla Scent

This is a vanilla scented natural oil infused conditioner with protein strengtheners. If you’re a fan of home baked scents this vanilla scented product is for you. It smells just like a steaming fresh vanilla cupcake. I’m currently using an unscented shampoo so the scent wasn’t a deal breaker but I tend to use floral scented products so usually, I steer away from strong scents like this. Too many strong scents can leave you with a funky end result.

Maple Holistics states this can:

“Tame dry, frizzy hair while strengthening and fortifying strands. A blend of eighteen silk amino acids are infused into this hair strengthening conditioner. The silk proteins are enhanced with a nourishing blend of argan oil, shea butter, organic pomegranate, and jojoba oil which deliver nutrients to promote softer, smoother, more lustrous looking tresses. Our conditioner is silicone and paraben free making it great for all hair types, color treated hair, and sensitive skin.”

This is silicone, paraben, and sulfate free + cruelty free with recycled packaging to boot!

Pros & Cons of Silk18 Conditioner

Pros:

1 .Amazing vanilla scent

2 .Left my hair perfectly detangled & frizz free

3 .My hair was noticeably shiny after using only 1 time

Cons:

There was actually just one con, I did not get any volume as the bottle claimed. This is probably due to my painfully stubborn stick straight hair. I would rather be rid of frizz than have the ever elusive volume that I crave. I think it’s a tad impossible to get both volume and sleekness with the same product so I can’t be too put out.

What do you look for in a conditioner? Volume, anti-frizz, or shine? I’d love to hear!
