Morning all!
I’ve steered clear of any negative space or sheer nail art because my nails are rather stained from my numerous nail art adventures, but as Simply Nailogical so eloquently explained in her Why yellow nails DON’T MATTER video/rant, I decided I don’t care if they look a little yellow, sheer designs are too cute to avoid just because my stained nails will peek through!
So lets get back to the nails, these started with stamping first, I used Spoiled Visually Slimming and Lady Queen plate BC-08. Then I used a super thin coat of Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl & matted it with Pure Ice Frost Finish.
Usually it doesn’t matter because I have a layer of polish in between my base coat and matte topcoat, but DO NOT put matte directly on top of shiny top coat. Because I have this sheer stamping going on the layers ended up touching….
Or you get ugly weird cracks which you can’t really see in the pictures, but they’re there and man they’re annoying!
