Today we’re going to do a full breakdown and review Bomibox!
May 2019 Bomibox Review
Bomibox is a super cute monthly Korean skincare subscription box that ships out towards the end of every month. This arrived on June 6th but is, in fact, the May box.
I went with the Bomibox Luxe variation; this box comes in three different sizes. I personally think the Luxe box gives you the best bang for your buck, but the smaller version is pretty dang good too. Watch the video below to see my unboxing and first impressions!
|Bomibox Luxe||Bomibox Mini||BomiBag|

May 2019 Bomibox Review: The Products
May came with 3 full-size products, 3 samples, and two face masks. Bomibox sadly does not include an insert which is literally my only complaint with this subscription service. I love having an insert because it makes it easier to search for products online when you have the details all typed out.
These Korean products don’t always have the ingredients listed in English so that’s another reason I like seeing a detailed insert to supplement the box.
What kind of products does Bomibox include?
For the month of May, Bomibox they sent out the following products:
- Glowhill Pure Peel Hydrate Cream
- Nature Republic California Aloe Daily Sunblock
- DR.GLODERM TABRX Wrinkletox Serum Action
- KLAVUU PURE PEARLSATION Revitalizing Facial Cleansing Foam
- Pyunkang Yul Shampoo
- Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam
- DR.GLODERM Eye Mask Night
- Mediheal Collagen Impact Essential mask
I am a little confused by the inclusion of a shampoo? Bomibox advertises itself as a skincare box so I’m not sure how they thought shampoo would sneak in there….
I am satisfied with this spread of products for the price. I was not able to track down prices for the sample size products but the Glowhill cream is priced around $30.00 on most sites. The sunscreen and syringe serum are $10.00 a piece so you are definitely getting your money’s worth.
Where does Bomibox ship?
Bomibox offers free shipping to the USA as well as international shipping. Each box ships out towards the end of the month and is usually delivered around the 6-15th of the following month depending on where you are located.
Are these authentic Korean beauty brands?
Bomibox states “All our products are 100% authentic and imported directly from the manufacturers in South Korea.”
Counterfeit products are a rising problem in the skincare community. I was shocked to see how many fake brands are being hidden on reputable retailers like Amazon! It’s reassuring to know Bomibox sources their products straight from the manufacturers.
That’s not to say you can’t find great and authentic Korean skincare over at Amazon. Check out my post on my favorite skincare under $10 on Amazon here.
Is Bomibox worth it?
I really enjoyed this month’s box and will be continuing my monthly subscription. I haven’t come across many Korean skincare only subscription boxes. The vast majority that I’ve seen are always mixed with makeup products well and I’m well covered in the random makeup products by Boxycharm. And if they’re not mixed with makeup they’re packed with sheet masks instead of full-size products.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good sheet mask. Sheet masks have become so easy to get your hands on; I’d rather have my monthly box largely consist of bottled products rather than single-use masks.
If you’re a fan of Korean skincare and would like the chance to try new products every month while saving money you should definitely give Bomibox a go. You can subscribe to Bomibox here!
